Lume is designed with privacy in mind. Most of the information the App uses is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Lume stores the information necessary for its core functionality directly on your device. This information is not uploaded to our servers.

Focus history (limited to recent history)
Scheduled focus sessions

Other settings required for the App to function

This data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.

To help improve the App and diagnose technical issues, Lume uses Google Firebase services.

This information helps us understand how the App performs and identify software issues. We do not use this information to personally identify users.

Android Permissions

System Permissions & Overlays: We may request standard system permissions (such as Usage Access, Display Over Other Apps, and Foreground Services) to enable the application's core blocking and focus features.
Device Scheduling: We utilize system timing and boot features to ensure the application's scheduling and timer mechanics function reliably.
Push Notifications: We may request permission to send you notifications regarding the application's features and core functionality. If you wish to opt out, you can turn them off in your device's settings at any time.

Lume currently uses the following third-party services:

Google Firebase Analytics

Purpose: Anonymous usage analytics to help us understand how the App is used and improve future updates.

Firebase Crashlytics

Purpose: Crash reporting and diagnostics to help identify and fix software issues.

Firebase App Check

Purpose: Helps verify that requests originate from authentic versions of Lume and protects our Firebase services against abuse.

These services are provided by Google and may process information in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share the information stored locally on your device with third parties.

Anonymous diagnostic and analytics information is processed by Google Firebase solely to provide analytics, crash reporting, and application security services.

We may also disclose information where required by law or to comply with legal obligations.

International Data Transfers

Google Firebase may process information on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States and other countries where Google operates.

Where required by applicable law, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards implemented by Google.

Clear the App's storage
